Kevin McArdle, the proprietor, is a Society of Master Saddlers Qualified Master Saddler and Registered Qualified Saddle Fitter and a very experienced horse owner and rider for over 30 years. He enjoys hunting with the local hunt packs and participating in local riding club activities. Kevin regularly hacks out, hunts and competes on his own horse.

Kevin trained and passed his apprenticeship at the leading training establishment in the country, THE SADDLERY TRAINING CENTRE in Salisbury. He passed the saddle fitting qualification at Moreton Morrell College and was later upgraded by the executive committee of The Society of Master Saddlers to Master Saddler status. He also currently designs and develops high performance new saddles for some of the leading English manufacturers.

Kevin's technical saddlery skills and hands-on equine knowledge has also led him to support Team GBR Ontrack as their APPROVED SADDLE FITTER in the UK for the potential team riders for the 2012 Olympics.

Kevin also lectures on saddle fitting to professional riders, local riding clubs and pony club camps, advising members on saddle fitting and making them more aware of the effects a good fitting saddle makes on the performance and comfort for the horse and rider.

Kevin's lifelong interest in horses helps him work closely with veterinary surgeons and back specialists to resolve back problems, horse confirmation anomalies and performance issues.

He is also qualified to fit other riding equipment such as body protectors and riding hats up to the Beta (British Equestrian Trade Association) standards.
